7 inch, 8 inch, micro Punch! Hardware's diff but dey both are fun! ...

K. I have a 12/256 7". Got it from Amazon a month ago (yes, I paid the premium for a 30 day return option).

It is doing great, and, except for the driver issue which y'all resolved, (thanks) it's a tight little box - but not exactly what I wanted.

Enter the Oushedi 8" Win 11 pro box.

Essentially the same size, with an 8" 1200x800 convertible touch screen. It runs OneNote in tablet mode like a peach.

So, I hereby give the ups and downs.

Pros: 3.4 ghz. Everything the 7" has, but more efficient with a larger screen. Works as well as a Windows Tablet as possible for Win11. USB-C charging (yaay!). HDMI, 1 USB3, 1 USB C, Audio/mic jack, RJ45. Keyboarding is MUCH easier than on the 7". Spacebars work better. The trackpoint is IR or somthing, not tactical/mechanical like the eraser dot. Bluetooth and WiFi are stable. Viewing angle fully adjustable 180 degrees vertical/horizontal/tablet fold.

Played Uniiverse Sandbox on Steam reasonably cleanly even if technically below spec for annihilating planets & galaxies. The 1200x800 is insanely better than the 1024x600. Screen camera is a bit washed out without tweaking, but more than adequate for Zoom. I can see how an RJ45 could be useful in sensitive connection situations without having to dongle through the USB C/power port.

Cons: No SD/TF slot. only one USB. No access to the SSD.

Windows II Pro cannot be tweaked by StartAllBack for Left Hand task bar.

I'm running the 8" for a week or so, and if it handles my lifestyle, I will be selling the 7", with activated windows.

(note, the 7" came to me with 1 dead pixel. Didn't bother me, so I didn't return it.)
