HELP! Identifying the L4's 7" Display Panel
Hello There Everyone!
I'm trying to identify the display panel for this laptop in my (naive & horribly misguided) hopes of doing some mods to it.
1. I searched thru Windows & CMD terminal
2. I combed thru the BIOS.
3. I've even cracked the sucker open & pulled the frustratingly bare-branded LCD out.
Being a NOOB, I am unable to confirm any model number or even be sure of the display interface.
So I'm posting my findings & pictures here in hopes a more experienced eye can decipher what this is.
(Disclaimer: If I've missed/misnamed something obvious plz remember I'm still pretty thick with this electronics stuff )
WHAT I'M SURE OF:
* 7" Panel
* 1280x800 Resolution
* 30 pin connector, "narrow" pin pitch: .4mm (I think)
When looking all I get is a variation of:
1. Nothing (messages like "OEM" or "To be filled out by OEM" or "N/A")
2. Broad terms ("Generic PNP monitor", Chinese stickers that translate to "Laptop Computer" or "Automatic")
3. Or when I find an ACTUAL LCD PANEL MODEL NUMBER (in bios or device manager) either:
(A) Google can't even find the display
OR
(B) It's for a panel with a totally different size, resolution, size, pin count AND conflicting interfaces (eDP, MIPI)
STEP ONE: IN WINDOWS (See 1ST pic below)
* CMD: "Generic PnP monitor"
*CMD (w/ "Hardware Identifier" VBS script): "N/A" or Blank
* Control Panel/Device Manager: Generic PnP Monitor
FINDINGS:
In device mgr, I found Model # AUO17D8. It's a seemingly non-compatible display (10.1", 1920x1200, MIPI, 34 pin)
STEP TWO: BIOS (See 2ND pic)
* Generic terms: Integrated Graphics Device or IGD
FINDINGS:
1. Under "VBT SELECT":
eDP AUO B125HAN02.201
(Panelook.com: lists the B125HAN02.201 as 12.5"/1920X1080/edpi/30 pin)
2. Under "PANEL SELECTION":
same model # as above plus
* AUO B15HAN 01.125
(Google brings up nothing)
* SHARP LQ0DASB788
(Google brings up nothing)
* MIPI AUO B10UAN01.7 (10.1 INCH)
(panelook.com: 10.1"/1920X1200/MIPI/34 pin)
STEP THREE: CRACKING THE SUCKER OPEN! (See 2nd pic)
FINDINGS:
* LCD Panel installed with the strongest glue in known universe.
* Chinese sticker that android app photo-translates to "AUTOMATIC"
* LCD flex circuit w/a 30 pin connector and a cable that is (seemingly) a smaller narrow possibly .4mm pin pitch.
LASTLY: I included pics of the GOODIX capacitive touch driver (the actual touch panel is bonded to lcd with same glue mentioned earlier)
QUESTION: Is that the 10 wire pin out printed on the ribbon? Cool...
THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO CHIMES IN & HELPS!
I look forward to reading all input (and any, well-earned, condescending banter :P)
*****UPDATE: Noticed the pics were unreadable low rez on my android phone. So I made a IMGR link here:
